Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Program: The program provides cutting-edge care for athletes of all ages with an ACL tear. Our surgeons have pioneered several innovative ACL reconstruction techniques that are now practiced around the country. Through ongoing research, we continue to test and refine surgical methods of ACL repair or reconstruction, particularly in young and growing athletes.
Injured Runners Clinic: The clinic works with runners of all ages and levels of ability. We consider all aspects of an athlete’s health — including their running gait mechanics, bone health, mental health, hormonal and metabolic health, and nutrition — to help them recover and avoid injury in the future.
Performing Artist Athletes Program: The program provides specialized care in the many areas that affect performing artist athletes, including nutrition, bone and endocrine health, sports psychology, and rehabilitative care for overuse injuries.
Spine and Sports Program: The program provides evaluation and full-service treatment for athletes with spine conditions and stable spine injuries. Our multidisciplinary practice includes sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and (when needed) orthotists.
Sports Behavioral Health Clinic: The clinic supports the emotional and behavioral health of young athletes. We work closely with our sports medicine colleagues to ensure athletes receive the full range of services they need to thrive in their lives and in their sports.
Sports Concussion Clinic: The clinic is a leading, research-based sports concussion program. We provide the most advanced care for athletes with concussions and educate them and their families about recovery and reducing their risk of concussions in the future.
Sports Ultrasound Clinic: The clinic uses minimally invasive ultrasound technology to diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of sports-related injuries, including chronic tendon injuries, torn or strained ligaments, damaged cartilage, and muscular injuries. In many cases, we can use regenerative medicine to repair these damaged tissues with the growth of new, healthy tissues.
The Micheli Center for Sports Injury Prevention: The Micheli Center uses evidence-based strategies to reduce the risk of injury for young athletes while enhancing their sports performance. We also conduct medical and scientific research on preventing sports injuries and the effects of exercise on health and wellness.
Throwers Clinic: The clinic treats middle school, high school, and collegiate athletes with throwing-related elbow and shoulder injuries while also helping them avoid injury in the future. Using technologies such as 3D motion capture, we’re able to analyze an athlete’s throwing motion and provide unique insight into patterns that increase their risk of injury.
Female Athlete Program: The program's experts use a comprehensive approach to keeping female athletes healthy and at the top of their game. Our caregivers assess the whole athlete and evaluate their exercise habits, hormonal balance, and nutritional needs to ensure peak performance, long-term health, and overall well-being.
