Professional History

Dr. Robert Michaels practiced both emergency medicine and primary care early in his career, but since 1990 has been practicing primary care at Longwood Pediatrics. He has been President of The Medical Staff at Boston Children's Hospital and Managing Partner at Longwood Pediatrics.

Approach to Care
Being a pediatrician is a wonderful way for me to use science and my experience to help children and families. It is very fulfilling work and I hope to become better as long as I practice in this exciting field.
