Approach to Care
Shortly after I began working at BCH, I became trained in compounding parenteral nutrition (PN). I really liked the way PN therapy allowed me to use both clinical and technical knowledge. I also enjoyed developing relationships with our dietitians and other members of the clinical nutrition team. Soon after, I started working with the HPN program where I started a process of reviewing records from home infusion companies to ensure our patients' HPN solutions are exactly as prescribed. As complicated as HPN solutions can be, I think it can be really helpful to have a pharmacist reviewing things to make sure your HPN and other medication therapies are as safe as possible!
