Dr. Bruett is a clinical psychologist. Her primary clinical expertise is in youth and young adult eating disorders, with additional specialization in anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, and disruptive behavior. She is committed to providing evidence-based and culturally responsive care and has a broad background in behavioral, emotion- focused, and acceptance-based therapies. Dr. Bruett trains providers nationally and internationally in Family Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders, and regularly provides mental health training and consultation to medical providers and school staff. Her research focuses on improving clinical care for individuals with eating disorders. Dr. Bruett provides supervision and training to interns, residents, and fellows in psychology and child psychiatry.
Prior to joining Boston Children's Hospital, Dr. Bruett was on faculty at the University of California, San Francisco, where she founded and directed the Eating Disorders Program at San Francisco General Hospital and co-led training programs in psychology and child psychiatry.
