I found my way into medical social work through volunteer experiences in a variety of hospital settings during and after college. My graduate work afforded me wonderful opportunities that allowed me to find my niche in working with children and families. It is a privilege to work with patients and families supporting them in navigating hospitalizations and chronic illness by supporting them with resources, community programs and unique efforts to lift their spirits. I personally am very invested in improving the quality of life for our patients and families and learning from them to maximize their experience.
